Product information "Rübchen Teltower Echte"
In order to make the sandy Brandenburg usable for livestock, the Teltower turnip was brought into the country. Today, the 'Teltower Echte' captivates with its regional quality and is popular as an old type of beet. Its shape is small, slim and conical with a white-brown outer shell; it has a yellowish beet flesh and a radish-like taste. It grows best when you sow it on a sandy, loose soil in a warm location. If you plant them in August and September, you can harvest them even in winter. Traditionally, the beet is caramelized and then quenched with meat broth and steamed. All that remains to be desired is a good appetite!
