One DEPOT tablet contains 30 μg vitamin D3. This corresponds to 1200 I.U. (International Units) Vitamin D3.
The body can produce vitamin D itself through the regular exposure to sunlight. In our latitudes, this in-house production is often not sufficient depending on the living conditions.
If vitamin D is not produced or is low, an increased vitamin D intake via food is required.
The body cannot store certain vitamins for long. E.g. Large amounts of vitamin C taken in at once, the body excretes some of it unused.
Echinacea - the purple coneflower
The genus Echinacea is also known by us under the name coneflower, cone flower or hedgehog head and is one of the daisy family. The perennial owes the name “hedgehog head” to the prickly looking flower heads, on the other hand the botanical name can be translated from the Greek word “echinos” to “hedgehog”.
The most famous variety in our gardens is the red coneflower "Echinacea purpurea", which attracts attention especially in autumn with its purple flowers. In full bloom, the coneflower is a real magnet for bees and butterflies. In the meantime, the popular cut flower is offered in many colorful variants, but these should not be confused with the yellow coneflower, the rudbeckie.
In fact, the Echinacea perennial has only been known in Germany since the mid-18th century, but the plant has already found its traditional use among the indigenous people of North America. We owe today's knowledge of the use of Echinacea to the Indians of North America.
