The most famous cobra is probably the glasses snake. It is so named because of its striking, glasses-shaped drawing on the neck hood. When a fakir with a “dancing” snake is shown in cinema films, it is usually a spectacle snake. The king cobra is also famous. At 5.59 m, it is the longest venomous snake in the world. It may be surprising, but cobras also have enemies. The Indian mongoose (a small, marten-like predator) is extremely nimble and evades the attacks of the cobra until it is exhausted and vulnerable.
